This movie has discarded the entire comedic premise of an adult pretending to be a child, along with all the possibilities involved. It has even discarded the entire need to lie about age. And yet Jonah's character lies anyway and says 19.

When I was at college my most respected peers were all about 27. No comedy in the fact really.

ALSO, here's a thought : They didn't even make use of the fact that Tatum's character might struggle at football when going up against the younger players.

Sport: The one area where age could have mattered in this movie and they didn't even capitalise on that?

Come to think of it, the heavy drinking could also have been an area where age makes itself felt, and they didn't even capitalise on that (on balance they did a respectable job of taking what was thtrown at them).

They graduated high school in the first one so they go to college acting like 19 year olds in case they come across any kids from the first one that's why they have the same names. Also Tatum plays football like a pro was to show us the viewer he's a bad ass.

27 year old undergrads? Interesting.

The football program was depicted as mediocre, not a D1 program. Channing Tatum was 33 at the time of filming and was/is in terrific shape. I am sure he could run circles around the average D2/D3 teenager

They're playing the same characters and I worked in a university accommodation last night and felt old at 25 as they where all 18-19 there probably was a few older than 20 but I didn't see them.

I don't follow american football but in other sports like football and MMA most of them are in their prime at mid to late 20s even boxing I don't really follow it but I think tyson was the only guy ever to be champion at 18-19.

How old do you think the characters are, I assumed they where between 25-30. If you go somewhere like ibiza alot of the people are in late 20s and party all day and night.

Weren't they in highschool in 2005? Assuming they were 17 then, they'd be 26 9 years later. So why would Jenko me struggling physically in football when he's young?
