How did he get his prints on the decorating shears?

Did he still have his gloves on when he threw them into the water? If he did, no idea

So, I just write something here and it will appear on everything I post?

Fingerprints have oil from our skin and that can survive being submerged in water. Also blood can stay on objects for a while in water. His fingers would have left imprints on the bloodstains
