I don't think that the Minions should get a sequel, because once again, we'll be bombarded with Minion merchandise and have people online raging over them.

I don't think it should get a sequel because overexposure will kill what makes these little rascals special; they are better off as sidekicks. In other words, they belong in the Despicable Me movies. Besides, this movie ties in perfectly to the union with Gru in that it explains their history and how they got where they are. No more info needed.

I also only think that there will be only this single movie entirely about the Minions.
As it looked like, they did join Gru judged by the small clips in the credits.
Then most likely you might get a prequel to Despicable Me. Gru in his teen years, where you also get the Minions in it.

Agreed! They're better in small doses anyway. Not meant to headline but good for a laugh here and there.
