Several long running franchises finally met their ignominious end"

Men in Black
Terminator
Star Wars
X-Men

All started with a great big bang and ended with a whimper. The only franchise that ended on a high note was Avengers. What is going on with Hollywood?

Hollywood should only remake bad movies or old TV shows whose cancellation prevented promising plot development.

Terminator, xmen and star wars all had massive clunkers before this. Even MIB 3 wasn't great.
