rave review from Forbes nails it perfectly... (rt 80%)

love forbes reviews because they break down the numbers too... but the guys nails what works and what the reaction is from adults vs kids and why the last one made more money etc... last one was nostalgia for adults less for kids... this one is for fun adults and kids... (the boxoffice numbers of the mupperts completely bears that out) and that's what's gonna sell muppets... if all muppets has is nostalgia then they are surely doomed

this makes sense why this totally fun music indulged sequel.. one that matches with great muppet caper and muppets take manahattan didn't sell with adults today... i read so many comments about how is wasn't serious enough and they missed jason segal... like weepy eyes jason segal movies was the future of muppet-dom? crazy.


the review also is a reminder of the 50 million muppets made from dvd/bluray and more from merchandising...

the only way muppets continues is to sell to kids... appeal to kids... not nostalgic adults...
