S5 E5 "Love Hurts" was the worst episode so far

1.) If I took that much verbal abuse from what looks to be a lousy director, I wouldn't have stuck around. Scarlett should've quit the moment that started to happen while being sure to tell him off.

2.) PLEASE keep the focus off of Maddie and more on other characters that really matter. No offense to Lennon Stella, but her character has been a spoiled brat for quite some time now and I find it highly unbelievable that someone can instantly "fall in love" with another person that quickly. Plus, her "boyfriend" Clay is a total screw up with a bipolar disorder. That would be more than enough to keep me away. Why does she feel the need to feel sorry for him or even stick up for him when she barely knows him?

3.) The stalker incident could've also been handled differently too. If Rayna, Deacon, and the rest of the staff at Highway 65 knew that someone was sending love letters and other notes to Rayna herself, then they should've contacted the authorities WAY sooner than that.

Here's hoping that the next episode will be able to recover after this trainwreck.

Totally agree. This episode was awful. Is Maddie now the focus of the show? Got real tied of the Scarlett video shoot. What are the writers thinking of?

I agree - to me, it was the worst episode this season and I personally think it was one of the worst (if not THE worst) Nashville episode EVER. The Scarlett theme made me very irritated at that director - hope he's not in the show anymore. Hope Scarlett doesn't get sucked in by his -- whatever it is.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Exactly what you said.

I totally agree!

Guess it's unanimous!

she's young, young people can generally fall in "love" pretty quickly. Not that big of a stretch..and using clays bipolar disorder as a slight against him is kind of messed up on your part.

Oh Good lord. This is the best Maddie has been on this show in a long time. Scarlett is boring and always has been... same with Gunner. The two of them have been on the same storyline this entire time. It's dead.

The stalker is realistic. Do you know how many celebrities deal with stalker stories daily? There's no way to just make them disappear. If they don't do anything illegal there's not a lot you can do besides getting a restraining order.
