Please show some improvement soon

I started binging on the previous seasons (again) last week. The early seasons were so good that it is hard to care about the current one -- in my opinion.

PLEASE stop being the Maddie show. Seriously. I have disliked this character since she caused Deacon to fall off the wagon and spoil everyone's life. She exists only to stir up teen drama and it gets really old really fast. The writers had the perfect opportunity to use the Clay character as some new blood. A talented Black performer trying to make it in country music. But no -- now he is just a part of the Maddie show. Such a waste.

Avery needs a story. His character spends all his time trying to soothe Juliette and escort her through her never-ending angst. And although I have nothing against gospel music, I do hate that they are watering down her character. Juliette has always been fun because the does the exact wrong thing and then makes people accept it. Being a total zen character isn't going to be as much fun to watch.

I am pretty sure that Rayna's new sugar daddy is going to screw her over. The plot is dragging; he needs to just get on with it. The stalker thing is all over the place.

I love Scarlet. She has always been one of my favorite characters, but the writers make her entirely too wishy-washy. Gunnar is too mopey and boring.

Some writer somewhere needs to work on making some sparks fly.

Isn't Maddie old enough to go away to college yet?
