Oh, Scarlett!!!

I love Scarlett's character, but really, what was the point of Episode 5? Have the writers run out of material? That was way too boring, and added no point to the series. And, Maddie, nuff said.

I just came here to write something similar. It was an awful episode!

Sadly, I agree. I've really enjoyed the first few episodes of this new season, but this episode fell flat for me. It got incredibly repetitive with the music video stuff. There were like four or five scenes that were pretty much identical: Scarlett is uncomfortable, jerky director is a jerk, Gunnar silently looks on like an idiot. Meanwhile, Juliette is limited to one scene that isn't even about her, and Avery is nowhere to be found.

As far as Maddie goes, I've found her (slightly) less annoying this season, but apparently that all changes next week when she accuses her parents of being racist because they are concerned that she's dating someone far older than her (Did I hear right in the preview where they said he was 24?! And she's 16? Yeah...no) who showed up to their door beat up to hell...

Also, I would love a storyline for Avery and Juliette. It looks like after not having them in the show at all (minus one barely minute-long scene) this week, they are back next week re-hashing Juliette's neurotic fear that's Avery doesn't really want to be with her and blah, blah, blah. Can't they just be happy for five freaking minutes?!

I really hope they can bounce back next week, because this episode just felt a little too much like an episode from last season.

"Can't they just be happy for five freaking minutes?!"

PREACH! This constant drama with them is getting so old! We need some growth and progress here, like, yesterday.

I was thinking it was like a 50 shades of grey thing. That's what it reminds me of.

I find Scarlet highly annoying with her indecisive nature! She is constantly whining about Gunnar whether they are together or not! Make up your damn mind! Either you happy with him or without him but there is never a time there isn't some ridiculously stupid drama! I get it! She is supposed to be shy but she surely has no problem speaking up eventually but then she just sounds like an ass! Her behavior for that video was ridiculous! Suck it up already!

I can't stand Scarlett either! She is so annoying and I've never liked her character. She's always a pessimist. Why would anyone want to be around that "negative nelly?!"

reply

The writers have done a poor job of making the audience feel sorry for her with her deep rooted issues!
