because it was obviously never explained in the movie what it was lol. i'm guessing prison slave labor camp.

We've done two kind of impromptu AMAs... Basically, when we realized that posts about us were rising to the top on Reddit, we jumped in immediately and made ourselves accessible in the comments. Same thing I try to do always on this board. Twitter and Facebook too... We try to answer everyone no matter what. I'd love to actually plan one if there is a demand for it though.
The Orchard is... Well The Orchard is a sequel. ;)
Jeremy wrote that line as a trap for us basically... It forces us to make sure that The Orchard isn't the same old post-apocalyptic camp that's been done to death.
Personally, even back in the early scripts, I just took that line to mean... "It's not as good or organized as you think". People definitely cling to the line though, so the pressure is on to make the sequel something new and different. That said, we are NOT yet working on a sequel. We have some other movies in the works, but it's a universe we want to return to eventually. We know it would be a stand-alone movie called The Orchard. It would pick up directly where The Battery left off, but also stand entirely alone as it's own film, in case a new audience hasn't seen the first movie (as it is lesser known than you might assume).
