Bullet Embedded in Ben's Leg

How is it Ben didn't develop infection and fever from an untreated bullet lodged in his leg? Did they dig it out in a deleted scene?

a bullet is super heated when it fires so infections are usually secondary like if they puncture the stomach or bring a piece of clothing into the wound with them or get it from contact with the wound. They had alcohol with them that could have cleaned the wound to begin with as well.
A lot of the time doctors leave bullets in people because it would do more damage to remove them> not like in the movies were they dig them out, where you could cut an artery and kill the person.

the bullet may have passed though and exited at the end of the leg. most often they do unless they hit bone or are very low caliber. if no infection sets in, you can survive.

How is it that you didn't go a quick google search, for information that most people would know by the time they are 16?

How is it your mother didn't abort you if she knew what an ass you'd be?

In countries without a gun in every corner... that's something you don't have to worry about. I thought cleaning the wound with alcohol would be enough to prevent death, in most cases.

Chicken-and-pea-water is a natural disinfectant. Like OMG, I can't believe you didn't know that!
