Decent but some holes. Some scenes reminded me of Gerry...

I think the overall move of the movie was interesting and yet dragging at times. I think just a little more back-story on what happened or info on the Zombies would of help. Like could you get the zombieness infection from minor contact or did you have to be bitten... and why did the zombies appear to be warm blood people still?

The long drawn out scenes of the two guys reminded me of Gerry (tt0302674)a small budget film written and acted by Casey Affleck and Matt Damon.

---***SPOILER ALERT***---

It was strange that blood shot out of the woman's head when shot by Ben as Mickey was watching her rub against the car. It is almost more like some crazy infection as opposed to all out zombies. If they still have blood and moved so slow you could probably tie them up. Could she have been cleaned up and felt normal???

Also Mickey's facial hair never grew during the 4 - 8 days they were in that car. Sure he might of been shaving when they had plenty of water but in the car they did not and they never showed a battery powered razor. His face was so clean shaven it made no sense.

I can answer your last comment. Adam Cronheim who plays Mickey... That is literally how his facial hair grows. He didn't shave the whole 16 day shoot.

If I was director I might of been tempted to put some sort of makeup stubble for a more realistic view even though in reality Adam's hair does not grow on his cheeks.
BTW if you know is it possible they shot the car scene at the first days of the shoot?

Yeah, I can answer any questions you have... I'm Christian Stella, 1/3 of our film company, with Jeremy and Adam. I shot the movie and did most of the tech stuff.

Not sure which car scene you mean... The one with the zombie girl (who is my wife) and Mickey was shot on about day 9 of the 16 day shoot. Then we shot the scenes with Jerry/Annie, then we shot the last act of the movie, inside the car.

The very first scene we shot on day one was the scene in front of the motel with 2 zombies coming out of the motel room. We all hate this scene now.

Other than us filming all of the stuck in the car stuff mostly at the end of the shoot, we shot very out of order. Even the stuff stuck in the car was shot out of order, first with the blankets up in a one car garage, then on the street, 2 hours away, with the zombie extras. Then after that, with the blankets up over the windows on the street.

We didn't mind Mickey's facial hair... Even if it has to be assumed he shaves... He is definitely the kind of character that would take razors from gas stations, etc.

We actually filmed a scene in a gas station, but that was them raiding cigarettes. The scene explained why Ben smokes 2 super slim cigs at a time throughout the movie, but it was cut because we didn't have enough lighting to shoot it properly and my footage looked awful.

I enjoyed your film. A nice take on the zombie genre. I'm also a baseball fan, so I guess that helped too.
