What camera(s) did they use to film this?

Updated: I found out that they used a Canon 5D Mk 2. Source link below:

Yes, I am the cinematographer if you have any more questions.

When it comes to The Battery, which was shot over two years ago, I used the 5D2 with a rented Zeiss 21mm lens.

Had the GH2 been hacked, I may have used that though, as it does much better detail for wide shots.

Now there are a ton of options and I have no idea what I will be shooting moving forward. I guess budgets, as they did on The Battery, will make the decision for me. I currently own a 5D3, and am finally doing tests with the raw video hack next month.

I noticed upon re-watching it, that in the long opening shot the camera very slowly sinks over the course of the scene. Did you not tighten the tripod correctly or was that intentional? Just curious.

Nice catch! It's a purposeful reframing of the shot. A digital pan actually, as the movie was shot in 16x9 and then cropped with the letterbox bars... So I had room to reframe every shot in the movie. It's super slow because I wanted most people to feel like it's one static shot. There are probably 30 digital pans in the movie, but most are done when the camera is handheld and you wouldn't notice. There are a lot in the really long take at the end of the movie for instance.

Have you heard any word on the Black Magic camera? I was deciding on getting one of those, but not really sure, for my next movie. I'm writing a film noir set in the mid 1930s, but wanted a camera that can capture a good black and white feel without that digital feel, you know what I mean?

I added the camera under technical specs for this film.
