So many comedians on these message boards! I liked the movie too. Only thing that bothered me is when the guy left the little girl in the swimming pool full of nut cases for such a long time. Before that it seemed like the guy was developing real concern for the kid and the swimming pool scene detracted from that, at least for me.

I thought it was inline with his character which is a selfish guy who would make idiotic choices and he learnt real fast the errors of his way.
Without this scene it would have been a big hole in the story and his character development.
