A lot of women like this film and the character of Amy Dunne.
They obviously hold it as some revenge fantasy.
shareThey obviously hold it as some revenge fantasy.
shareWhat does that say about the people who like American Psycho?
shareThat they enjoy a satirical takedown of 1980s/90s yuppiedom (which is, in the case of the film, directed by a woman)? 🤷♂️
FWIW, of the various films/shows mentioned here, Gone Girl is my favourite (more so than Fight Club or American Psycho), BUT I recognise that Amy Dunne is a fucking monster. That's why it's such a compelling novel/film. It's a great takedown of a certain type of individual...And let's all be fucking honest for a single minute. We've all met someone like Amy Dunne.
That wasn't a general question, it was related to the topic of this thread. For some reason you replied to it in a general way, removing all context.
Just out of interest, why did you do that?
I like Breaking Bad
shareWomen are victims. Ben Affleck did a great job portraying a Psycho Killer and mistreatment of woman. Evil , unstable bastard. I’m just happy Amy got home in one piece.
shareFucking simp. 🙄
sharewomen are obssessed with being loved, with men and with male attention, even though they claim the opposite, in the end because of this they go totally crazy and cant control themselves
shareI like Emmanuelle
shareDo they realise that Amy Dunne is the villain, and that the film and novel are brilliant indictments of the type of woman who will lie in order to destroy a perfectly innocent man?
