"Amazing Amy" book series
Are there any real books which have inspired the idea of the "Amazing Amy" series of children's books in the novel and the movie?

shareThe only real-life parallel I can think offhand is the "Dennis the Menace" newspaper comic, which was based on the creator's real-life son. It was all cute when he was a small boy, but the real Dennis grew up to be a very troubled adult, who kept suing his father for making a fortune from capitalizing on Dennis's antics as a child.
But Dennis never went around staging murders of anything, he just wanted a share of the fortune he'd helped to create.
That's very interesting, but what I meant was whether there exists any children's books which have any likeness with the fictional Amazing Amy-books, with the same type of structure and moralistic content, not necessarily based upon a real child.
shareNot that I can think of, but they did release an actual Amazing Amy book as part of the promotion for the movie. It’s called Amazing Amy and the Tattletale.
