Narrative Over Truth

This film is a superb dissection of the way the media prioritises narrative (i.e. the 'Spoiled Little Rich Boy' headline in relation to the assumed kidnap and rape by Desi Collins of Amy Elliott, and, before that, the narrative concerning Nick the misogynist murderer) over the truth (i.e. that Amy is a manipulative sociopathic ***** who destroys every poor guy she comes into contact with).

And the nitwit tabloid journalist's defence for the way her show demonised Nick before it was revealed he was innocent, that "I go where the story goes" is practically the same defence used by many journalists over their handling of the Trump/Mueller story.

The media has its own favourite narratives, the facts be damned, and it will run with it until the idiotic and gullible public are conditioned into falling in line with its reckless regard for the truth.
