This may be a really minor or irrelevant thing to bring up but would the hospital just let Amy leave covered in blood and still in scrubs?

That irked me as well! After they took pictures and did their examinations, I thought she would have been cleaned up immediently. And someone would have bought her or brought her clothes- so I doubt she would have been wearing scrubs.

I had a bit of a problem with that, too. We can speculate, but good moviemaking doesn't make viewers speculate. Good point. I think there is not a viable explanation.

I know this is an old post, but my theory is that this allowed for the visual effect during the later shower scene at home of the blood on the floor of the shower going down the drain. The camera seemed to linger on that for a bit.
