Poor acting? Pike dubbed?

I didn't quite enjoy Margo (Carrie Coon)'s acting. I mean I realize it was her debut but still.
Also it really felt like Rosamund Pike's lines were dubbed... But nobody else's! Anybody else get that too? Maybe it's just me...

Margo's actress was fantastic. If any actor failed to be on par of the others, it would have to be Neil Patrick Harris only.

Agree with you on this, I thought he was totally wrong for this part.

He's against "Type" as is everyone else... Which is one of the Main Themes of the Film as far as "Reality" goes.

I thought she was pretty good. She absolutely nailed the character. I read the book before seeing the film and Carrie Coon's performance was exactly how I imagined the character.

Also it really felt like Rosamund Pike's lines were dubbed... But nobody else's! Anybody else get that too? Maybe it's just me...

The deep, flat monotone that she spoke in might have been because she's actually English, and maybe she didn't really know how to properly do an American accent.

I plan to watch Gone Girl today, but I saw Rosamund Pike in Return to Sender, and she did the required American accent flawlessly.

Under our clothes, we are all naked! Bare nipples (of females), genitals or buttocks are considered nudity, showing barechested men, people covered by bedding, women in slit skirts, low-cut or bare middrift blouses or shorts are NOT nude scenes.

As "Amazing Amy" is nothing but a Facade... Her Narration is the same. The entire film is Dreamlike and Surreal, we are lied to from beginning to end in some form or another. This is a Kubrick Trick, as I'm quite sure you know... The OP... Not so much!

I was also reminded of surreal animes I've seen (Mainly some the late Satoshi Kon's films), as well as Hitchcock.

Back to the OP's topic, only the fake-lipped girl seemed miscast for the part (boobs were great, though!)
