The revelation while Amy was missing by the neighbor that Amy was pregnant. There was a lot of blood left at the scene. Wouldn't the detectives confirm a pregnancy by getting the blood tested?

There was not a lot of blood at the scene. Amy dumped the blood, but then cleaned it up. The point was to have the appearance of cleaned up crime scene. What the police had was evidence of a lot of blood due to the luminol test. They didn't have blood beyond a small smear.
