anyways, so this hold was supposed to send kai to the spirit world,
someone please refresh my memory, what happened to the guy in the first movie that po used the hold on? I thought he was ok, just not able to defeat po.

It's "Wuxi" and they never showed what actually happened to Tai Lung (villain from first movie) but after watching KFP3, we know that it sends that person to the spirit realm. We didn't see him in the spirit realm because Kai said he defeated everyone there and took their chi. The only thing that doesn't make sense is, why didn't we see him after Kai was defeated?

Only showed the characters we care about and needed for the story. There were way more chi that kai stole In The spirit realm. It just showed the characters that were needed for the story

Ti Lung was not heard of and he was acknowledged as a disgraced student , he probably wouldnt think to take tai lungs chi

It's been awhile but I'm pretty sure I remember him saying he defeated all the warriors in the spirit realm. Tai Lung is not mentioned but it makes sense anyway. Since Kai is evil, another evil warrior's chi is just as valuable to him.
I was being patient but it took too long.
