This is the only animated movie series in recent years that remains actually decent with following sequels. I'm an adult and loved it, usually not a fan of these movies, but I love that there's this positive message in this movie for everyone just to be themselves. It's a great message for children and even adults. :)

I think the second film is still the best due to it having a wicked good villain and yet this is the one that feels most confident.

Personally, I was disappointed with part 2 but thought the 3rd installment was on a par, if not better than the first.

We re-watched 1 & 2 before watching the 3rd and I didn't care for the 2nd one this time around.
So watching the 3rd movie we was pleasantly surprised that it was good. Definitely thought it was more enjoyable than 2.
I agree - they were great movies and I enjoyed each installment more than the one before, but look at them as a body of work. I absolutely loved the music and the 2D sequences as well as the action and themes of friendship, family, and self-acceptance.
