Thought this was terrible at first but then...
Honestly I clicked on this film because kristen bell is really beautiful and has a great smile and I was bored. At first the exposition in the beginning and the cut up way they were showing her problems in the city seemed extremely clunky and I thought this was going to be a lame dram-rom-com (but with surprisingly naturalistic hair and makeup). But as I watched I began to see the central thesis of the film, or at least the one I took from it, to be the concept that every single person at any age can be in crises: the high-school crisis, the young adult adrift, the fear surrounding childhood and marriage crisis, the 2nd act or more classic mid life crisis. I really like this idea and the way they showed it, was very clear, every character is lost in their own way, but not too over the top beat you on the head with it. Anyway I ended up really liking it this central idea and believe it to be true, life is so mysterious and rocky it's easy to run aground now and then.
