Mel's husband, Leigh's mom

THis movie was filled with some very unlikable characters. Her husband was annoying throughout the movie, and even she became ridiculous in the end.

Leigh's mom, she was impossible to like or relate in every scene she was in.

Overall some good performances, by Bell, Lambert, Finn, but a depressing movie.

I agree...one unlikeable character per film is plenty. I wished they elaborated more with the story why Leigh's mom was so bitter and eliminated Mel's husband storyline altogether. That scene when they were in the kitchen and he dropped his pants was unnecessary.

By "her" and "her husband" I assume you mean Mel?

What's funny is that you disliked the three characters in the film who were the most responsible and adult mindset of the cast.

Blame the writer, she wrote those characters to be unbearably unlikable ;)

You're as obvious as Quentin Tarantino's foot fetish.

I think my problem with them is that they seemed to immediately judge Leigh for being freaked out and not having life figured out. I can see if after a while they just went "She's not going anywhere, she's not even trying…etc…" But it was like, as soon as she got there and was trying to figure out her life they judged her and acted like she should just go with what society thinks she should be doing. Seriously, I think you need to be an adult, but you also get to be scared that you won't live a meaningful or free life. We only have one life, why can't we be scared when it doesn't work out the way we want it to? I just had a problem with them acting like not having things figured out makes her such a terrible person. She's going through a crisis. Maybe she should go about it in a different way, but the complete lack of understanding was a bit much.
