Thoughts

Spoilers ahead.
I just finished watching the film and I must say I was intrigued by the most part. Yes, Yes, been there, seen that moments but overall the movie was OK. I'm glad it wasn't another white family moving to a new haunted mansion kinda film.
Anyhow, my thoughts concern the kids... besides the lack of any moral compass and their mediocre acting... I thought the plot would move along a line where that kid was molested by the neighbor.
Secondly, I thought there would be something dirty on the neighbor as well... But got to re-read the title. It's to be taken literally, eh?
I realize it's not a horror or paranormal flick but what if at the end, we see the house closing and we hear the bell ringing from the basement... I don't know if the film wanted to take that direction anyway.
Did anyone get the gay vibe from the kids? besides drawing penii around, my first thought when that kid saw the email on the computer that he saw the kid browsing some gay porn or dating website or had images of his friend or something. i don't know, the film was throwing us in the wrong directions all the time anyway.
The verdict was not fair and the ending seemed like Scream 4 where that kid's one million YouTube views became a reality.
so yes, it was entertaining despite few things here and there.
I guess it deserved its rating.
