Anne Dudek didn't seem old enough to be Ethan's mother

At first I thought she was his older sister. Maybe I was just used to her character in House, but she seemed a little young to have a son about to go to college.

1) She's over 40.

2) Professional Makeup takes 10 years off anyone.

3) 50 is the new 30.

4) It's a movie. If you nitpick enough, any movie has lots of little quirks.

I didn't buy her as the mom. I really thought she was his older working sister, as you did, until it was mentioned that she was the mom. They should have done better casting. Either make the mom look older, or the son look younger.
