Just started watching...that black guy is ticking me off

He entrusted his daughter to the hotel AI, Poe. And Poe's trying to rehab her...and black dude is shitty and pissy about it at all times, just jumped into the session and then threatening Poe afterward.
Just...wtf is he doing? How stupid is this guy supposed to be, because this is just silly stupid. His daughter has been in her current tormented state for a very long time now, Dad has been agitating it for years and here he's finally witnessing progress being made and he's...going ballistic?

Some of the writing on this show is a little weird, its a little B movie-ish here and there. Some seriously forced conflict going on that makes me want to punch this guy in the lip.

I'm afraid sometimes to give a character some screen time, writers make the character do things that seem incredibly moronic. The seems to be the case with the character you a referring to.
