Anyone else think the movie is too hyped?

They have been teasing it for what seems like a year. I am a spm fan. So I remember it being announced and thinking, "Damn the release date is so far!" Like really? Announcing the casting, gossip, etc... Is that really needed?

I miss the good ol days when a movie was hyped/advertised MAYBE a COUPLE months before it was gonna come out. But a year.....get off the crack. That's too much of a tease. Even now it's out in July and it's May and it still seems like forever.

Anyways to my question. I always am apprehensive whenever they over hype a movie. Case in point Suicide Squad. The trailers were hyped, praised, everyone was excited for it. Then it came out and it was a dud. When they over hype a movie it's almost guaranteed to be bad. A good movie sells it's self. Through word of mouth, good reviews, etc...

But a bad movie you have to tantalize people SO much that they just HAVE to see it. Even against their better judgment. So you get that huge opening weekend box office, make tons of money. And then whatever after that.....
