Wil lVulture finally be a memorable villian?
with Michael Keaton playing him, i hope hes one of like 3 memorable villains in the MCU.

shareWho are your first two out of curiosity?
What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
I see Vulture more as a throwaway villain so they can set up Peter Parker and his life. The more important and memorable villains will be in the sequel.
I've never liked the Vulture except when he's with the Sinister Six.
Loki and Red Skull are great, imo
shareWould Vulture technically be the first actual supervillain that's threatened Spidey? Or, like second if the less-threatening Shocker gets taken down first? I don't think he's had to deal with a budding rogues' gallery yet so that this is happening during the early part of his life (which I don't recall being the norm for him in the original, non-Ultimate comics at that age) it can have more of an impact on him than someone like, say, Captain America or Thor since they were either soldiers or born warriors and stepped up to fight either for the thrill of battle or the sense of duty, whether or not they had powers or the strength to fight off the opponents they were facing.
I think I know precisely what I mean when I say it's a shpadoinkle day!
If done right, he could be.
He's not just an industrialist scientist like Iron Man or Ant-Man and their enemies Iron Monger and Darren Cross. He's an old guy who steals the youth from people, and with this being the youngest Spider-Man that could work with the themes of age and power and stuff (this is if he wields that ability though).

Vulture as a character could be hit or miss....but with Michael Keaton and given the right amount of screentime, he could be hugely memorable
I doubt he'll be a throwaway villain with Keaton playing him.

I love Keaton as an actor, but I can't help but wish Ben Kingsley would play him. He's absolutely perfect for the part. And yes I believe with either him or Michael Keaton, they will make Vulture memorable. I've always liked Vulture in the comics so it's cool he's finally coming to a movie. Shocker as well. Shocker was never a huge draw as a villain like Goblin or Doc Ock, but he was a fun villain and will be a great addition as a secondary villain on-screen. I wish they had made Electro memorable and given him the screentime and story arc he deserved in ASM 2, but they used him as more of a plot device than an actual character and it really disappointed me. He was one of my favorite villains ever.
shareI personally wanted John Malkovich to play him.
shareMalkovich would be great too
shareVulture's just like the Falcon except a geriatric white guy who’s only intimidating if flanked by five more formidable supervillains. Please don’t tell me they’re wasting Michael Keaton on Vulture just for a Birdman meta-joke. Unless he’s going to steal the youth from the whippersnappers at Spidey’s homecoming dance, what’s the point? Using Vulture to explain how Norman Osborn developed the Goblin Glider in the gone-too-soon Spectacular Spider-Man was fine, but do we really need to spend an entire movie with him as the main villain just for that?
If they want a flying foe that’s not a Goblin, why not Beetle since at least his various armors already look cool? Marvel Studios could get Rashida Jones to play the Janice Lincoln version. Since there’s red tape in getting Kingpin out of Netflix into the movies, they could use her as means of bringing in Tombstone, the evil albino version of Luke Cage, instead. https://mattthecatania.wordpress.com/2016/10/14/legends-of-supergirl/
