Season 3 premiere date???
Has there been any official date given in the UK as to when the first episode of season 3 will be shown?

Netflix?
shareThe show is on ITV in the UK and BBC America in the US.
In this case, Netflix is like a rerun channel. It's lower on the release list than DVD stores. You'll be waiting a long time. It looks like it was 11 months to a year later the last time.
Bummer, if that´s the case! I hope it will be different with the third season.
shareITV has said it will start there in February and a lot of schedule watchers have figured that will likely be February 27th.
Last time several countries (Ireland, New Zealand, Canada, and one or two European) got it within a week of each UK broadcast. But BBC America didn't start until 10 days after the whole series ended in all those countries. The DVDs were released about a month after the UK and the US finished their broadcasts.
But then the versions dubbed into other languages had their turn. e.g. The French Canadian version was shown in the fall of 2015. Netflix didn't get Broadchurch 2 until Radio-Canada (aka CBC in Quebec) had finished the French broadcast.
It probably has something to do with Netflix being fairly world-wide with its releases. So until all the major markets, who buy rights to it, have shown Broadchurch 3, Netflix won't have it. That's why I figure, based on series 2, Netflix won't get it until at least late January of 2018.
Your best bet is to contact Netflix and see when they expect to be able to get it.
