When Abby started talking about how the Donovan's always win or get throught it, I thought Ray would get a call saying they found Bridget's body or Bridget is missing and that would have ended the episode while Ray was looking at his family celebrating.
Maybe the Russians had a plan to follow then take Bridget if anything went wrong.

Killing her means more job for writing a proper script, plus more deep and serious acting from the cast.
