If republicans care so much about freedom than why...

why rig the electoral college, in the swing states so only you can win? Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin, Virginia, penn, Ohio are all considering laws to make it so the electoral votes are distributed by congressional district. This way republicans win even if they don't get the majority vote of that state since the districts are gerrymandered in their favor any way. You voter ID bulls..t is meaningless. Notice states like Texas were not mentioned. That is because there is not a chance in hell that a state like that could go blue. Utah, Georgia, Mississippi will always go red so there is no need to mess with the electoral count there. You don't give a dam about election integrity when you are doing this. We need a public campaign for state ballot questions to get rid of the electoral college and go to a national popular vote.

Obama would've still won if it was done by popular vote only. Obama won the PV by 4.9 million votes. If you take away the EC and then Dubya wouldn't have won in 2000 (Gore won the PV by 543,895 votes) which means we wouldn't have gone to Iraq for 10+ year's while breaking the bank fighting an endless and pointless war. Did you know that the Iraq War cost taxpayers $54,000,000 an hour? Another site says the war cost 720 million dollars a day, 30 million an hour or $500,000 a minute. One certainly wouldn't learn that by watching Fixed, Rush or from this 4.9 movie rating. I'm not an Obama fan just a realist that knows America is on the rebound. Stock Market has gone up 700 points since the election. 157,000 jobs were added last month and ending the Bush Tax Cuts and getting out of Afghanistan will be the shot in the arm to America.

We are not counting by popular vote. We are counting by electoral college votes. That is why we need a national popular vote.

Did you know that the Iraq War cost taxpayers $54,000,000 an hour?

Did you know that that 54,000,000 goes right back into the economy as wages? What, you think that there's a big hole in Afghanistan and ever hour they pour a pile of money into it? It goes to pay the troops and buy their supplies and equipment, almost all of which are made by Americans?

I'm not an Obama fan just a realist that knows America is on the rebound. Stock Market has gone up 700 points since the election. 157,000 jobs were added last month and ending the Bush Tax Cuts and getting out of Afghanistan will be the shot in the arm to America.

Why will removing $54,000,000 an hour from the economy be a "shot in the arm" and if we are cutting that amount then why do we also need to increase taxes?
