Pure Crap.


I am a Born Again Christian Prophet and this was the worst piece of crap I've seen in a long time. I watched with Joel and Victoria Olsten hosting TBN with guest Mark Burnett and his wife Roma Downey. They said "this production of The Bible was going to be the best of Hollywood had to offer" So my exceptions were high and I was lookin' forward to The Bible. What a GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT I was getting so mad the more I watched. They lied and most of you did too who gave this piece of crap high ratings.

This was one of the worse Christian Films I'd ever seen, I question the Salvation of these two. Was this the best they had to give God, or were they in this for the money? Did they read the script if I didn't know the Bible I wouldn't of known what the Hell was going on? The acting in the Bible was so HORRIBLE who cast this production Chimpanzees? What about the great special effects, cheesy old computer graphics that you might see on TBN. Televisions shows today have better special effects and it was so politically correct as not to offend.

I know most Christian's will think I'm a troll or he's not really a Christian he not standing up for The Bible. God help us! If anyone really thought in their hearts this was good?...then you have no taste.

Incredible that someone can call this movie crap and not mention the source under the same blanket. The bible itself is nothing but made up crap, and this movie only upsets you because maybe you're seeing how it really plays out unless you're reading the words and twisting them to suit your own ideas.
Ever notice no two people see the bible exactly the same? It's because the whole crappy book is such vague trash, that's all one can do.

I'm almost twice as old as your second guess, and if it's one thing I've learned, it's that there is no god. On 9/11, how many prayers went unanswered? Oh, but wait, those who believe have found the perfect EXCUSE as to why prayers are answered or not, he answers,but the answer isn't always the one we want. How quaint. Yet another circular and irrational thought process to justify the actions of your god which basically comes down to being equal to random chance and coincidence.
If that helps you sleep thru the night, enjoy, but I'll have nothing to fear during this life or any supposed afterlife. Meanwhile, you live in fear your entire life hoping for acceptance from nothing. That's truly a sad existence.

Fear? Why would anyone fear living life with God or spending their afterlife with him? If they did have that fear, then they have not figured out the great grace of God.

When one accepts Christ as their savior and believes he died on the cross for their sins, there is nothing but gain in it.

Some people believe that just because they pray for something they will get it. Then if they don't, they think God isn't good. But He owes us no answers. He knows where he is going with everything. In the end we will simply say, "Okay, now I get it. No wonder He didn't do what I prayed for."

If you want to try and scare people into thinking that some imaginary place called "Hell" exists then I have to say that your belief system is a bit flawed.

Also, for a God to exist, and save only a select few of his creations if only because they ignore all sense of logic (logic that he gave us, by the way) via "faith" is a bit ludicrous. Who gives us sight, taste, smell, etc.. and says "Ok, now ignore all these outlets that allow you to chemically interpret the universe as well as reality and believe in something that you can never see, smell, touch, hear or taste. Some people do want answers for all this agony and pain surrounding us. I'd go so far to say it comes down to us mere humans, but if there is indeed an omnipotent creator, I'd tell him to promptly go *beep* himself for not providing any sort of empirical evidence for his existence on top of giving us no answers. The Holocaust was indeed a terrible thing yet the Bible is replete with stories of how the Hebrew people were often conquered, became slaves (many times) and were at times targets for genocide. Contemporary history also shows that the Inquisition, Hitler and even Christians continually persecuted them. The Bible says that God "permitted" them to be persecuted by merely letting their enemies overcome them. It says this was typically in response to their deviation from his directives (most of which were for their own good). The wrath of God or of man? Hitler was perhaps just the most recent cause of injustice as we tend to forget the horrors of many past atrocities.

There are plenty of things you can't see, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

You just CHOOSE not to believe in God, because then you have to give up your sinful lifestyle, which you enjoy living.

How do I knew oxygen exists, well, the fact that I'm alive from breathing oxygen is a good sign that oxygen exists, but better yet is how science has discovered it and put it in the ELEMENTS chart. See, science discovers things that are REAL through repeatable processes. That's how science works, it also has shown that people can claim to believe in things that aren't real, like why people believe in god, our gods, and they also find that due to geographical location, people are inclined to believe in the god myth that is in that region.

To further the point, yes, there are plenty of things I can't see that exist, but they are all made up of elements, nothing is outside the boundaries of these elements.

I love the crap about the sinful lifestyle. What a nice way to place yourself above others while being a judgemental prick like you know how I live. I'll tell you one thing, people who make judgements about others only do so because they generally don't like themselves, and if you had a clue, it's your religion that makes you feel like crap, telling you that you were born into sin, but the ignorant can't see the forest for the trees.

We know oxygen exists because we breath it, as well as other chemicals.

We can't see germs with the human eye, but through a microscope, germs and even atoms can be seen in great detail.

Every country in the world probably exists because people who come from various areas claim it.

There are plenty of things I don't see yet I know they exist because there are various means to prove they exist. I hope you realize that sight isn't the only form of evidence that proves what does and doesn't exist. In fact, our vision is relatively weak, so logic, instinct and common sense are best used for understanding the universe rather than strictly using sight.

I choose not to believe in God because there's no evidence. A sinful lifestyle? And how do you know this? Who the hell are you to tell me what is or isn't sinful? You don't even know what I do for a living, I could save patients on a daily basis and be an atheist yet you arrogantly claim I live a sinful lifestyle?

Back when I believed in God, even in the past, I would think you a self-righteous, ignorant twat. Torture via the Inquisition, burning people at the stake as witches, killing women and children of different faiths for relatively no reason, oppressing sects of people via legislation like primeval savages. False doctrines and contradictions between the movie and the Bible!

It seems like they are confusing the story of Noah and the Ark with the story of Lot.
They show, what appears to be, Noah, his wife and two teenage daughters being close to Noah and then just a glance at another boy doing chores in the ark.
The Bible is very clear when it states that Noah was about 500 years old (Genesis 5:32) when he had the three sons that joined him on the ark with their wives and that Noah was 600 years old (Genesis 7:6) during the flood. That would make those three sons about 100 years old at that point. I doubt their wives were young teenage girls at the time.
There were 8 people saved in the ark. (1 Peter 3:20)

Abram was in “Ur of the Chaldees” when God told him to leave his country (Genesis 12:1) and he was in Haran (Genesis 11:31) after his father dies when he took his wife Sarai and his nephew Lot, and Lot's wife to a new land.
The movie calls Abram, Abraham, and Sarai, Sarah, long before the Lord ever changed there names.

Lot's wife is always portrayed as an angry, faithless, negative, antagonistic woman without any scriptural support. Just because Lot's wife “looked back” and was “turned to a pillar of salt” when they left Sodom does not justify this characterization.

The “strife” that broke out between Abram's herdsmen and Lot's herdsmen (Genesis 13:7) is unnecessarily violent with no supporting evidence.

The movie makes it look like Lot's wife hated living near Abram and Sarai and wanted to live in Sodom and demanded Lot tell Abram it was time they went their separate ways.
In addition to there not being any supporting scriptures for this portrayal they contradict the following:
Genesis 13:8-12 makes it clear that Abram is the one that suggested it was time to separate there flocks and offered Lot to choose where he wanted to go to find pasture and Abram would find pasture in the other direction. Just because they are separating themselves doesn't mean they won't have any contact with each other and does not justify their portrayal of Abram being discouraged or questioning God. Lot chose to feed his flocks in the plain of Jordan by Sodom.
With verse 13 we must remember that this is the account revealed to Moses hundreds of years after it happened when he stated that the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners.
There is no evidence that Abram said that it was dangerous to live in that area, although he may have thought it because he chose to pasture his flocks in a drier climate than the plain of Jordan which was “well watered every where” “as the garden of the Lord”.


The movie portrays Lot's capture as being one year after they departed. The dates mentioned in Genesis 14 show that it was in the fourteenth year after they lost a battle with other kings and had been serving them for 12 years and rebelled in the 13th year. At what point Lot actually moved there is unclear.
They specifically state that it was one of Lot's men that escaped this capture when the Bible teaches that it was just “one that had escaped” from Sodom and Gomorrah. No mention if the person was with Lot.
If they “didn't stand a chance” as is said in the movie; why did they rebel in the first place?
The movie show's a lot of doubt and fear on the part of Sarai with no scriptural justification.
The movie portrays Abram's armed men as a small band of maybe a dozen when Genesis 14:14 says there were 318 trained servants.
I find it hard to believe Abram would brag about there being so few of them against so many. It is that kind of pride that causes many to be delivered into the hands of there enemies later on.
Abram is portrayed as trying to get Lot to rejoin there camp and being unhappy when Lot says they are going back to Sodom when Genesis 14:16-17 states that Abram “brought back all the goods”, “his brother Lot”, “the women” and “the people” to “the king's dale”. There is no evidence that Abram was unhappy with Lot's choice of where to live!
There is no scriptural evidence that anyone associated with Lot or Abram died in the battle or that Abram ever suggested that they must stay together. God promised Abram all the land he could see, none of it was promised for Lot so they had to separate, The land God had prepared for Lot's descendents was further away, (Deuteronomy 2:9)!

By not pointing out that Sarai gave her maid, Hager, to Abram to be his wife, as Genesis 16:3 states, the movie makes it look like Sarai just suggested it, but still makes it look like it was an adulterous relationship rather than the actual marriage that the Bible describes it as.

In portraying the city of Sodom, the movie makes it look like a place that Lot and his family are afraid to go out at night and has them hiding away in fear; they also portray the angels sent to the city as being attacked and in fear for there lives. It shows Lot and later his family as being hesitant and afraid to assist strangers. When the “men of the city” came looking for the strangers they make it look like they are there to kill them and completely ignore the very reason that the Bible teaches that Sodom and Gomorrah were to be destroyed! This completely contradicts the account found in Genesis 19! Lot was not hiding in fear, he “sat in the gate of Sodom”. The two angels were not in fear of the people of the city, nor were they harmed in any way! When Lot invited them to stay at his house and refresh themselves, they declined and said “Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.” It was only after Lot “pressed upon them greatly” that they agreed to accept his hospitality. When the men of the city came looking for Lot's guests they were not there to attack or kill them, they were there to “know them” (Genesis 19:5), in the Biblical sense, as in Genesis 4:1 where “Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain” or Genesis 4:17 where “Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch “. If “know them” only meant they wanted to be introduced to them then there would be no need for Lot to respond by saying in Genesis 19:7 “I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly” and then offer them his “two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof”!

The Bible does not suggest any violence happened, just that those who were at Lot's door were smitten with blindness. The movie portrays the angels as warriors killing all those that get in there way as they lead Lot, his wife and two single daughters out of the city by night, which contradicts the Bible teaching that Lot went to his son's-in-law to warn them to flee and Genesis 19:15 states “when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city”. Then in Genesis 19:22 we are told that the angels can't destroy the city until they have gone a safe distance: “Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither”

The movie totally skips over the part where the angels ask Lot “Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters” and “Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law”. They completely ignore the fact why the city was destroyed (homosexuality) and that not only those that practiced it were destroyed but also Lot's daughters, there husbands, (heterosexual family) perhaps he had some grand children among those older daughters, or perhaps they chose not to keep the first commandment (Genesis 1:28 & 9:1) as many do today; all those that did not believed homosexuality was a sin worthy of the death penalty and those that defended them in those sins were equally destroyed with those that practiced it! The only people that were saved were Lot, his wife and two daughters that knew enough to say “I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly”! This one Bible principle needs to be taught more today than just about anything else found in the Bible other than repentance and the atonement of Jesus Christ! When the wicked outnumber the righteous the earth will be ripe for destruction just as Sodom and Gomorrah were!

The example of Lot and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah is a perfect example of how we need to balance the truths that God has revealed in the scriptures, with tolerance in our day. Except for the theocracy during the days of Moses and Israel, the true God of heaven and earth has rarely been officially recognized as the civil ruler and His commandments followed by those in charge of running the government. Today we live in similar circumstances as both Lot and Jesus Christ did. We search the scriptures to know God's will, we teach it to our children and anybody else willing to listen, we warn them of what the punishments are that God had decreed but then we must leave it to them to decide how they wish to live there lives!

With Lot, it appears that he preferred to live in a house, in-the-city, rather that outside in a tent, he knew his flocks would benefit from the lush feed in the plains that were “well watered every where” “as the garden of the Lord”; there is nothing wrong with any of that. Although he was well aware of the sins of the people he dwelt among, it does not appear that he ever openly judged them or discriminated against them in any way, until he had the visitors and they came to force themselves upon them; then he told them: “I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly” and there response was: “This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them”. Do to there reaction, it appears that Lot had never brought up there sinful behavior before.

A similar lesson in tolerance can be seen in John 8:3 when “the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery”, they tell Jesus in verse 4 “this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act” and then they remind him that “Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou”. There hypocrisy should be obvious to any honest reader of the scriptures. If we go to the source of this commandment we find:

Leviticus 20:10
10 And the man that committeth adultery with another man’s wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Deuteronomy 17:2, 4-7
2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the Lord thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the Lord thy God, in transgressing his covenant,
4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and inquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:
5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.
6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.
7 The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.

When we go to the source of the commandment we find their hypocrisy! How was the woman taken “in the very act” of committing adultery without a man being involved? Where was the man! After all of her accusers were “convicted by their own conscience” and ”went out one by one” Jesus did not completely let her off the hook; He told her “Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more”; she was well aware that it was a sin worthy of death, Jesus did not need to remind her of that, He just had to make sure she knew He did not condone her actions. During this time, because of the general wickedness of the people, God had allowed the Romans to rule over Israel. Therefore, they were the ones responsible for setting and executing the laws; not Jesus or the hypocritical Jews of that day!

So it is with us today if we wish to escape the judgments of God, we must search His commandments diligently and keep them; we are encouraged to share the Gospel with everybody that is interested but we are not to discriminate against anybody! When the day comes that the wicked outnumber the righteous, then God Himself will destroy the wicked as he did with Sodom and Gomorrah and with Jerusalem. We just need to be keeping the commandments and be prepared to flee the wicked when that day comes or we can choose to flee the wicked much sooner, rather than choosing to live among them in the first place.

The movie makes the city of Sodom look like a promiscuous, yet heterosexual city that attacks visitors passing though, and does not assist them. They also ignore all the scriptures concerning homosexuality as being the “abomination” spoken of by Ezekiel and Moses, worthy of the death penalty. Although the copy of the commandments we have only goes back to Moses; it is apparent that they must have also been given to Adam and Eve. Otherwise Cain would not have sinned when he killed Abel and God would have no justification to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, if there were no commandment against there sins with the death penalty affixed to it. Since God demands justice, there must be justification! Mercy only comes after repentance and through the atonement of Jesus Christ which then satisfies the demands of justice!

Ezekiel 16:48-50
48 As‍ I live, saith the Lord God, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.
49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

Genesis 18:20
20 And the Lord‍ said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

The first sacrifice mentioned in the movie portrays Abraham being commanded to offer Isaac as a burnt offering. Without any of the previous animal sacrifices mentioned in the Bible before, and having there purpose being explained, the audience completely misses the message being taught in this trial of Abraham's faith and almost makes all of the future human sacrifices done by the apostate Israel look justified, even though God commanded, through Moses that anyone that offers there child to Moloch (human sacrifice) must be put to death!

The movie also miss-represents almost every aspect of this sacrifice:
The movie shows just Abraham and Issac traveling a short distance up a hill to offer the sacrifice and also shows Sarah apparently figuring out what Abraham was commanded to do and running after them and getting to them just as the sacrifice is finished. This depiction contradicts the Bible in so many ways!
Genesis 22 clearly states that Abraham was told exactly what mountain he needed to go to (Mt Moriah), the same area that Solomon would later build the temple on, where the passover lamb would be offered every year, where the animal sacrifices representing a blood atonement would be performed, were the forgiveness of sins required a blood sacrifice. The same area that Jesus Christ would bleed from every pore while he truly atoned for our sins. The same area that Jesus Christ himself would be sacrificed on the cross to break the bands of death and bring about the resurrection of all mankind!
As Abraham left on this trip the Bible tells us that he took a donkey, two young men and Issac. They were traveling for three days from where they left Sarah before they got to the place that they left the donkey and the two young men. As Abraham and Isaac were climbing the last part of the hill, Isaac asked his father about the missing lamb for the sacrifice and Abraham replied that “God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering” this satisfied Isaac and they get to the place God showed Abraham the sacrifice needed to take place. After they build the alter and arranged the wood on it, Abraham binds Isaac with the rope and places him on the alter at which time the movie depicts him raising the knife high above his head and plunging it down just as the Lord calls out Abraham's name; it does not in any way explain that he is authorized to stop the sacrifice of his son Isaac, in the movie he just doesn't keep the commanded. This again contradicts the Bible, which teaches that Abraham only took the knife and that is when God gave him a new commandment when He said “Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me”. Even though Isaac was not Abraham's “only” son, because Abraham had Ishmael before Isaac and according to Genesis 25:9 “his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him” when Abraham died. It was a similitude of the sacrifice God would later have to go through with His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, but for our sakes he had to follow through unlike Abrah

We are then shown a baby lamb caught by its hind foot suggesting that it was offered in the place of Isaac, again contradicting the Bible, which clearly reads that “Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son”. God would, and did, provide himself a lamb. That was the “Lamb of God”, Jesus Christ. However, God provided a ram, caught by its horns, not a lamb caught by its foot for Abraham to offer in the place of Isaac!
The movie also shows Sarah climbing the mountain and finding Abraham alone and appears to be thinking she was too late and that Isaac was already dead; only to be relieved when Isaac then walks forward into view. Again this is in open contradiction to what is in the Bible! We are clearly told in Genesis 22:19 that “Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beer-sheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beer-sheba”; Sarah is no where in the true picture!

This movie has a very clear agenda in skipping over, or taking away from the Bible, anything that is not politically correct in there eyes! When it comes to homosexuality in Sodom and Gomorrah they completely change the focus, and completely distract the viewer from the truths taught in the Bible! When it came to Abraham being a polygamist by taking Hagar to wife , presumable after Sarah entered menopause (she was about 76years old at the time (Genesis 17:17 minus Genesis 17:24 minus 1), rather than treating her as a wife, they depict it more like an adulterous relationship and treat Ishmael as an illegitimate child (in Sarah's eyes). Then they completely skip over Genesis 25 where Abraham marries a third wife , Keturah, and she bares him six more children. There is also no mention of Jacob (Israel) and the four wives that bore him the twelve sons that started the twelve tribes of Israel and his one daughter.

Although the Bible does teach in Exodus 1:13 “the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour” and “they made their lives bitter with hard bondage” I think the movie went overboard with all of the whipping, they were whipping so much, nobody could get any work done.

Although the Bible does teach that Pharaoh did say to the midwives “When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.” and then “charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.” it does not say that any of it was actually carried out. In fact, it states that the midwives did not obey Pharaoh but gave him an excuse instead, and the Lord blessed them. The scene of the children being massacred is more reminiscent of the slaughter of the innocents, when Herod commanded every male child in Bethlehem two years and younger be killed and does not belong in the story of Moses! Remember this is the same Pharaoh that allowed his sister to adopt the one child he had the most reason to fear and kill.

The fighting between Moses and the son of Pharaoh is also completely fictional and added in place of what can be found in the Bible!

In the scene where Moses kills the Egyptian there is a large crowd of task masters and slaves everywhere, contrary to what the Bible teaches! The Bible clearly states that Moses “spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew” and after he “looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand”. Moses hid him in the sand, not one of the Hebrews, the only other person present would have been the Hebrew that was being smitten. The only evidence/witness that Moses killed the Egyptian was the Hebrew that was being smitten, not an amulet torn from Moses' neck! Moses thought he had no reason to fear or escape until the next day when one Hebrew was smiting another and when Moses confronted them, Moses was told by the aggressor: “intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? ” It was only then that “Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.”

The movie also portrays the son of Pharaoh, after presenting him as an enemy to Moses, discovering the body of the Egyptian that Moses killed, still clutching Moses' amulet, and when one of his group asks if they should hunt him down the son of Pharaoh says no, he is no threat now. This completely contradicts what is taught in the Bible which says in Exodus 2:15 “when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian” which clearly shows that the only witness, the Hebrew slave that was being smitten, was telling people that Moses saved him by killing an Egyptian and that word was eventually passed on to Pharaoh while Moses was still in the presence of Pharaoh before he fled into Midian.

Although, in the very next verse, the Bible teaches us “the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock”, Moses helped them, married one of those daughters, had two sons with her and lived with them for 40 years. The movie only mentions 40 years have past while it portrays Moses in a tent, alone at the foot of Mount Sinai, reliving the non-biblical circumstances that were displayed in the movie before he fled Egypt, as if it were just yesterday, yet implying that he has been doing it for 40 years.

Although the movie does show Moses speaking with the Lord at the burning bush there is no sign of the flock of sheep he was taking care of at the time. There is also no mention of any of the training God gave Moses at this time as is listed in Exodus 3 & 4.

In the movie, we first see Aaron coming in to meet Moses for the first time in his defense before the Elders of Israel contrary to Exodus 4:27 when we are told “the Lord said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of God”.

There is no mention of the training Moses gave Aaron “in the mount of God” as described in Exodus 4:28 “Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him”.

There is also no mention in the movie concerning Exodus 4:30 where “Aaron spake all the words which the Lord had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people” “And the people believed” Instead the movie show few of the Israelites believing Moses.

The way Moses acts when he meets Aaron and Miriam in the movie makes him look overwhelmed that finally after the 80 years he has been alive he finally has a family. This completely contradicts the facts taught in the Bible that Moses had a wife, father-in-law, at least six sisters-in-law as-well-as two sons for the last 40 years and that his wife and two sons returned with him to Egypt.

The movie glosses over the plagues so quickly that they would not make the least bit of sense to anyone that had not been taught about them previously and they are not shown how at first, Moses only wants the Israelites to travel far enough away to offer sacrifices to the Lord but the more Pharaoh refuses the worse the plagues get and the more Moses demands of Pharaoh.

After the plague of three days of thick darkness described in Exodus 10:21-23 among all the Egyptians, but all the children of Israel had light; Pharaoh called Moses back in and was ready to send all the Israelites away to serve the Lord until Moses said they had to also take all of there animals with them which caused Pharaoh to change his mind again and not let any of them go. At that point “Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that‍ day thou seest my face thou shalt die.” and Moses said “Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no more.” Even though the Bible could not be any clearer to this point the movie still shows Moses being taken back to Pharaoh and showing him with Pharaoh's dead son before he is sent away.

In the movie, Moses states that it is only the firstborn sons that will be killed, contradicting Exodus 11:5 which states “all the firstborn‍ in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn‍ of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is‍ behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts”.

When the movie describes the angel of death and what the Israelites must do to live, they show a single sheep having its throat cut and bleeding, but not the least bit dieing, and the people gathering the blood and marking their doorways yet there is no mention of any of the other requirements listed in Exodus 12. Once again this is contrary to what the Bible teaches that “they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their‍ fathers, a lamb for an house” “Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year” a young lamb for each household, not one old sheep for the whole house of Israel! “they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and‍ with bitter herbs‍ they shall eat it.” “Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with‍ fire; ” “ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.” “thus shall ye eat it; with‍ your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is‍ the Lord’s passover.”

At the parting of the Red Sea the movie makes it look like the Israelites rushed through before the Egyptians were able to catch up to them completely omitting “the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them” “And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them,‍ but it gave light by night to these:‍ so that the one came not near the other all the night.” The movie just jumps to the crossing and displays a mist and rain as they went through, contradicting the account that they crossed on dry ground, “the Lord‍ caused the sea to go back‍ by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land,‍ and the waters were divided.” “the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground”.

When the movie depicted Moses in Mount Sinai the stone tablets just fell out of the rock rather than being written by the finger of God as described in Exodus 31:18 “he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God” then when Moses and Aaron are examining the stone tables there appear to be five lines of Hebrew on the front of each stone, suggesting that there were five commandments written on the front of one stone and five commandments written on the front of the other stone. This contradicts the testimony given in Exodus 32:15 where we read: “And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were‍ in his hand: the tables were‍ written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were‍ they written.”

After the movie skips over the forty years in the wilderness and all the lessons taught there, we are shown the Ark of the Covenant, out in the open, with Joshua praying to it. This contradicts the commandments God gave Aaron and the Levites concerning its treatment shown in Numbers 4:17-20:
17 And the Lord‍ spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
18 Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites:
19 But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:
20 But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.
When the tabernacle was being taken down to be moved, the Ark of the Covenant and all of the other “holy things” was to be covered before they were ever taken out of the sanctuary “lest they die”! There was only one person that was allowed to be in the presence of the Ark and that was the High Priest and he was only allowed to enter that area once per year to make an atonement.

There is no evidence in the Bible to support the fighting scenes when the two spies were in the city of Jericho. All we have is: “they went, and came into an harlot’s house, named Rahab, and lodged there”, “it was told the king of Jericho”, “the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee”, “the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were”, “And it came to pass about the time‍ of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot‍ not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them”, “And she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you; and hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward may ye go your way”


This movie has once again emphatically brought to my remembrance what both Moses and the apostle John taught:

Deuteronomy 4:2 -- 2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

Revelation 22:18-19 -- 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

What Moses wrote in Deuteronomy also applies to the four books he wrote before it and does not void any of the teachings of the prophets and apostles that came after him, in the remaining books of the Bible, especially not any of the teachings of Jesus Christ, who Moses testified would come (Deuteronomy 18:15,18-19). The same principle holds true to the words that John wrote in the book of Revelation, which could be seen as a capstone to the four books he wrote before it as well. Although none of the other prophets and apostles included a similar commandment or warning in their books, I feel it safe to say, it also applies to every other prophet that God has commanded to write.

I find many things added to the movie, as-well-as many things that have been left out of it, so that most of the movie contradicts what is taught in the Bible.

I do understand that even a miniseries has time constraints as to how much detail can be included so I do not expect everything found in the Bible to be included, however, I must expect that what is included is accurate in both how the event is portrayed by the actors as-well-as what is spoken; both verbally and non-verbally, otherwise it is teaching false doctrine and is deceiving everyone!

They have added to, taken from, and totally perverted just about every sacred part of the Good Book in this movie that they have the nerve to call "The Bible"! They have corrupted the word of God!

Please read the Bible for the truth, you wont find much of it in this movie.

I usually like Biblical movies: Ben Hur, Ten Commandments, the original The Bible starring Richard Harris. But with this, as soon as the opening music queue sounded I knew I was going to despise this crap vehemently. But I struggled with it and tried to like it....And then the Chinese Terracotta Warrior Double Swordsman Angel happened and I stopped watching then and there. WTF were they thinking? This is like cheese on steroids.
