How is this movie, "Based on True Events"?

I tried to do research on any leads for the movie supposedly being on a true story and I haven't found anything about the officer shot being black. If it was anything remotely real they would of done it straight from the real thing, rather than fulfilling the black agenda to promote more hate than it really is.

Officer Frank Trejo who died from a gunshot wound from Garett Fuller, who Trejo is a full blown Mexican. I don't mean anything wrong just wondering why the Director, cast and producers continued the film.

It's called artist license. Why would you assume it's a black agenda to promote more hate. There really shouldn't be an argument that white supremacist hate all none white races. I guess Cleopatra and Exodus among many others are examples of the white agenda.

there should not be an argument that all rednecks hate other races...White rednecks, black rednecks, brown rednecks, and yellow rednecks..

there should not be any argument that there is an agenda to present it as a white-only phenomena...even though only white hate ever gets chastised, censured or called out...in other words, even whites are presented as the sole offenders, even though they are the only group who even do anything about racism against groups other than their own.

Inspired by true events pretty much means the story is completely made up and was just inspired by an incident. Based on a true story what they say when its actually trying to retell a story, but even that does not mean everything in the story is fact. ALL movies are a fiction, some more based on reality than others. Documentaries are non fiction. have a problem with those when they're wrong.

This is loosely based on the story of Officer Frank Vasquez Trejo who was killed by the recently paroled Robert Walter Scully on March 29, 1995.

Allowing for some artistic license and fillers for dramatic effect of course, the overall story does follow the true accounts fairly accurately with the following exceptions:

Deputy Trejo was of hispanic descent, not black (though this probably wouldn't matter to a white supremacist anyway)

Garrett Tully is a fictitious name, the names of the actual persons were Robert Walter Scully and Brenda Kay Moore.

The actual family that was taken hostage consisted of Frank Cooper, 65; his girlfriend, Yolanda King, 39; her son, Jeremy King, 21; Yolanda's daughter, Karen King, 23; and Karen's son, 3, and daughter, 1. They were all black.

I found the article too, it is funny, they don't mention it in any of the press clips. It was hard to find. I finally saw it in the credits. Thanks

If you take the daily occurrence of black home intruders that kill a white family and white cops and reverse the roles you get the politically correct "inspiration" for this movie.

Just like if you take the daily occurrence of white men and women sexually assaulting and molesting minors, children and infants you get real life as well as the hypocrisy of how whites hold themselves up against scrutiny and as standard bearers of morality and look down on others. Just sayin.....

Do you have google? I found the inspiration for the movie pretty fast. The cop was Spanish but the family was black. The guy was a white supremacist. No agenda, it really happened.

The officer wasn't black, but reading about the true story, more details were close to the film than I expected.

*Are you kidding me? Do you not understand artistic license? The movie is meant to be based on a true event - which it happened.
This film was not meant to promote any sort of "black agenda." And I cannot believe you think that just because the officer killed was Mexican rather than black the tentpoles of the story has changed. Ignorance on IMDb? Really?
