It's not a bad movie, not a great movie. But it makes you wonder why it was made. Seems like a step back from his previous works. Maybe he was in a rush to get something out after the high praise for Poor Things. My wife liked it and she has not really been a fan of his past works. Whereas I preferred his past works.
shareThis definitely had the feel of Yorgos Lanthimos doing a self-congratulatory 'victory lap' after Poor Things was a hit. And I hated Poor Things. Maybe he'll keep his pride in check next time.
