Miss Woodley says, whilst on the phone to her boyfriend, very early on in...
(talking about her mother lying on her bed) "yeah, random right?"
Was 'random' really a 'saying' back in '88 or is that just a poorly scripted anachronism?

I agree and thought the same thing - I was 14 in 1988 and we did not say random! I only noticed teens using that phrase over the last 5 years or so……such a silly mistake in the writing.
