Gods, ANOTHER movie narated by Shailene Woodley??
I am trying SO hard to like anything she does. Every single thing is so "I wanna be better than Jennifer Lawrence, so I will copy everything she does, starting with Winters Bone."

shareyou're joking right? First off, she's been acting for a lot longer then jennifer lawrence. And just because she did divergent which has alot in common with the hunger games that makes you conclude she's doing whatever Lawrence is doing? Winter's Bone and this movie don't have all that much in common. Except a criminal father and a depressed mother. the movie's itself are totally different

Ahh...okay now I realize where I saw Shailene most recently. She looked so familiar but I didn't remember Divergent. I have to admit that although I didn't take it as the actress trying to be like Lawrence, I did draw immediate parallels between Divergent and Hunger Games. As in it's completely unoriginal and very much like H.G. but then again most dystopian stuff is a variation on a well worn theme so how mad can one get?
shareIf she wanted to be like Jennifer Lawrence instead of doing nudity in MOVIES, she'd take pictures of her own cooch and put them on an easily-hacked Cloud account, so they could wind up all over the internet.
Seriously though, it's not surprising two young actresses would both end up in teen sci-fi action movies. Now "Winter's Bone" is a great movie, but it's a DIFFERENT movie than this. I haven't seen "The Fault in Our Stars" or her other teen film, but they probably suffer in comparison to "Silver Linings Playbook" and "American Hustle" which are NOT teen movies at all. But Jennifer Lawrence never did anything like "The Descendents". So they're really being compared based on "Divergent" and "The Hunger Games", and maybe, as Woodley said, because they "both have vaginas" (Lawrence does at least--and there's pictures to prove it).
People say Lawrence will be the next Meryl Streep. That's my concern actually because Meryl Streep is a highly respected, but extremely BORING actress. Woodley could be the next Julianne Moore or Jennifer Jason Leigh, which would be preferable. Her career so far though most resembles Emily Browning's--a couple teen movies, a big-budget sci-fi/comic book/action movie ("Divergent" and "Sucker Punch") followed by a more arty film with nudity (this and "Sleeping Beauty").
