Spoiler-ish thread for theories about Westmorland: let's discuss!
Ok, so we all want to know if Westie has truly lived for ages and ages or is there some leeway in what we hear Susan tell Cosima. Then, if they are going to play it as yes it is the same person, not a child with the same name, then of course we all want to know how he/she managed to stay alive.
In looking up Westmorland (it sounded familiar coz I'd just watched the BBC's Henry V recently) I saw that historically the title of Earl of Westmorland was created twice, once in 13hundred something and then again in 16hundred something. This same title being 'resurrected' seemed a bit strange - usually titles are passed down through the male heir and it goes on and on.
Anyway this gave me the idea that Westmoreland could just be a title, a mantle of sorts for whoever currently leads the neolitionists but that doesn't seem that likely.
The even more unlikely theory I thought of was what if Westie was in a cryogenic statis ⛄?!?! Maybe he hasn't been awake-alive for all these years. Maybe he takes little 10 year naps here and there! That would be feasible with a movement (neolution); it might even be why he created a cult - because if he left his revival upto an employee/ lab partner things might go wrong but if you have fervent followers then you can count of their devotion to wake you up again. And maybe, when everyone else from his time was obsessing over steam power, maybe he investigated the virtues of superlow temperatures....ooooooohhhh!
Ok, so what are your theories...
