Thoughts?

Good casting for Westmoreland, I liked the actor in the movie Pontypool. Very cool that Elyse Levesque, one of Tatiana's oldest and best friends, is joining the cast as a villain. Evelyn being listed as an "also returning" likely signals that her appearances and Delphine's importance will once again be limited in Season 5.

reply

Yea exactly, How would you like the Orphan Black to end as this is the final season??

What other shows do you watch?

reply

I was hoping Dylan Bruce would end up playing Westmoreland.

We all know how much he loved his castmates, the crew, and just about everything involved in playing BD Paul, so I was thrilled to see him in flashbacks last season. I honestly can't imagine how they'll bring him back in this fifth and final season, but I'm sure they'll work him in somehow, and I thought it might have been fun for him to get hair and make-up and for some speech processing/dubbing to take place to make his voice unrecognizable so that the big joke would have been the "reveal" that it was Dylan Bruce, just hanging out with his peeps.

The casting of Kira's teacher is interesting. Kira has been bizarrely isolated, never even meeting Alison's kids.

reply

My problem with a teacher for Kira is that if she is such a 'prize' then why send her to school where it would seem easier to kidnap her?

reply

I think it's more likely that he'll be a private tutor, someone from Mrs. S's shadowy organization. And as the actor has a stunts background he'll probably also be something of a bodyguard.

reply

That makes more sense. But also maybe he can help her learn how to use her 'powers.'

reply

That kind of thinking is Kira's whole problem. She's become so protected that she has no friends and no childhood. And how dare that Mika talk to her.

reply

And coincidentally filming has also started on 'Game of Thrones'. Might there be another crossover...!?

The Players of The Game are the scum of the earth.

reply

Always seen bits and pieces of 'Game of Thrones' over the years, Might be another crossover??? your being sarcastic surly

reply

Are you forgetting Cal who ran out on Sarah and Kira to turn up in Meereen passing himself off as Daario? Or Kira with her woo woo making a drawing of a fire breathing dragon?

The Players of The Game are the scum of the earth.

Stephen McHattie huh? I guess that ruins my theory about Cal being Westmoreland. I remember Stephen McHattie from years ago as the creepy villain in the final season of Beauty and the Beast (the 1987 series). I hope Orphan Black doesn't go downhill as steeply as Beauty and Beast did once McHattie was introduced.

But thinking about it, McHattie's villain was after the child of Catherine and Vincent because he thought it would have mystical powers of some kind (given that Vincent was "the beast"). I hope they aren't copying too much plot here...

No mention of Susan.

reply

That's an interesting point. That could mean
1. Susan was not important enough to mention.
2. Susan is going to die instead of coming back.
3. Susan is coming back but mentioning her return would give away a plot surprise.

reply

Yes, 3 options. I thought that she would return since she lived through Rachel's attack.

reply

Hopefully we will find out about Rachel, Through some set pictures + teaser trailer!

When do you think we will se some set pictures? before Xmas?
