For some reason it reminds me of Leah Remini on King of Queens. That's just an observation, not a complaint, I really like her as Alison, one of the best of her many roles, IMO

I haven't seen that show in awhile, so I can't really compare. I think I remember hearing once that Tatiana based the character on a sort of composite of different traits from people she knew.

I think one of the writers or producers based it upon his sister or sister in law. IIRC. Tat probably added her own variations on it based on people she also knew.

Yeah, but on Orphan Black, Alison is the Queen of Kings.

I was thinking that too. I think Tatiana resembles her too especially with Alison's hairdo.

Really? It actually reminds me of Marcia Cross when she portrayed Bree Van De Kamp on Desperate Housewives.
