1986 Burt Reynolds movie. Many of the lines are direct lifts.

Well yeah, seeing as how this was based on the same book "Heat", I would think so.

an inferior remake of a slightly better than average 80's action film. made me appreciate heat more. if a movie makes you appreciate it's predecessor which wasn't awesome to begin with, that can't be good.

I think the fight scenes were better in this film. But I did think Reynolds flying kick to the light bulb to set the guy on fire was way cooler.
