best use of White Christmas ever

An hour into the movie, there is a fight scene in the casino with a music track of "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" (performed by The Drifters). No matter what you think of the rest of the movie, Statham fighting over White Christmas was very creative. The fighting may not have been as technical as other parts but it was well surprisingly well-timed and the result made for great entertainment.

Too bad the rest of the movie didn't maintain that level of creativity but I can live with it just on the basis of that one scene. Hey, the rest of the movie wasn't as bad as others are saying. What do you have against garden shears?

Eh, I'm pretty sure that song has been used ironically at least a half dozen times in movies. Not sure if the number is exact, but I know i've seen it a couple times minimum, usually to a fight scene, drug scene, etc. They played this happy Christmas time song in juxtaposition to what's happening on screen visually.

To be fair it was one of the best parts of the movie, but that's only because the rest of the flick was garbage, so it's not the difficult. This had exactly 3 good scenes, which is just way too low in a 100 minute movie...

There's nothing about it clever or ironic. The movie's set in Vegas and there's hardly anything about it other than the Santa hat and a couple minor set dressings that indicate that it takes place during Christmas. The song just makes it jarring.
