The sequel should be like this

The movie should open with the carnival from Child's Play 3 after the night of Chucky demise and some guard finds Chucky's remains and tells the cops that Andy was telling the truth. The film then jumps 15 years later right as Chucky is trying to take Alice's soul and the grandma pops out of the basement and Chucky flees. Then we see Nica in an asylum scarred to death, knowing Chucky will find her. Chucky then tells Alice to sneak on a train that is scheduled to go the place where asylum is located, which brings back a lot of deja vu from the first film where Chucky told Andy to go to Eddie Caputo's house via a train.

Also the scene where Andy receives Chucky, after he shoots Chucky, he examines him and then Chucky comes to life and stabs him repeatedly causing Andy to wake up realizing it was only a nightmare and that Chucky is coming back soon. So maybe the Andy stuff won't happen until the eighth film.
