Whatever happened to Play Pals, the Good Guy doll company?

If I recall in Child's Play 3, Chucky killed the CEO and just about 5 minutes later, we see a commercial on TV in the barber room of the military school when Andy is getting his haircut and then later, Whitehurst says he recalls remembering them and so does Andy. By the time Bride of Chucky's events occurred one month later, one of the guys staying at the romantic hotel says "Chucky, of course I remember he was a Good Guy doll! They were programmed to say all kinds of $hit!" Nothing is referenced in Seed about them but there was one in this film, where Ian says Good Guy dolls were very popular in the 80s. Also Chucky's redesign seems to look like a remake of the dolls, did Play Pals emerge from bankruptcy despite the death of Mr. Sullivan and then the later murder sprees from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th films? Maybe in the next film, we'll find out what happened to Play Pals after the 3rd film and how the company fared after Mr. Sullivan's death.

I think they covered up Sullivan's death and just kept going with the toyline. The person who assumed power could have just been as much of a greedy a-hole as Sullivan and just pushed things forward.

They still need to explain in the next film what happened to the company. Too bad they didn't in this film.
