Needed humour

I felt that the movie should have been funny. Like Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky.

In my opinion. No. It reminded me of cp 1 through 3. Subtle humor. Just what the series needs.

It needed to return to its roots.

I get what you mean. "Bride of Chucky" revamped the series in style, tone, and title. Bride and Seed had the humor elements of them so it makes sense if Curse had it too to continue the pattern. You got three serious "CHILD PLAY" films and then we would have had three horror-comedy "...OF CHUCKY" films. While it was nice to see the series return back to it's dark roots, Curse totally killed the pattern especially the involvement of Tiffany. I think the movie should have been more humorous and had Tiffany as once again a main character here.

Bride is my favourite Chucky film, but after the horrible Seed this series needed a massive facelift. It was nice to see Curse take things more seriously while still having a bit of fun. I just wish we didn't see Tiffany or that she was in doll form so we could pretend Seed never happened.

Bride and Seed were too comical while this one was too serious and I feel it sucked out all Chucky's personality. 1-3 had the perfect blend of comedy and horror so I wish it was more like it.

To me, there is only a certain amount of films until the Chucky series has to poke fun at itself again.

And people like you are the reason we got such *beep* sequels in Bride and Seed. This movie was more of a character study, "humor" wasn't needed.
