Only true horror fans like like this film

Anyone who hates this film but like the Paranormal Craptivity films, clearly isn't a horror fan. I really don't get some of the hate for this, go watch Leprechaun Origins if you want a film that deserves hate.

This movie stunk, and that's coming from a horror fan. Chucky wasn't scary or even funny like the later entries, he's just a bland generic killer in this. He talked and talked and talked because that's what the budget allowed for. He just proceeds to monologue like something out of a bad Bond film.

The acting was garbage, there's better performances in indie movies with 1/4 the budget of this. The writing was crap, it's like they were challenging you to find something better to do with your time (which wouldn't be hard). The one location setting screamed cheap, and the rest of the movie followed in line with it.

The kills themselves were weak too and not very creative or even interesting. Also there was too much cgi for a flick like this, which should have none. This chucky had no resemblance to either the original or later entries in the series, and ultimately this movie isn't even worth watching...

Ehh.. All of that is extremely debatable. Sounds like you've never seen an unintentionally cheesy horror movie. Curse did an excellent job with it's budget, and I'm extremely happy with the direction they took.

Hey TheBeardedWonder, go watch Leprechaun Origins and then come back, pal! You probably like those stupid ass Paranormal Activity films and thought Ouija was the best horror film of last year! Seriously, why the f-ck do people hate this film? Sure it was low budget and direct to video and did have a lot of plotholes like Chucky not bleeding but can't you people ever be happy? At least this wasn't Seed of Chucky 2 or Return of Seed of Chucky! This was a good movie. Sure it wasn't as good as Child's Play 2 but it certainly was better than Seed! That movie didn't even feel like a Chucky movie!

Hey, go *beep* yourself since you can't handle a *beep* negative opinion on this movie, you butthurt *beep* There are people who hate Bride of Chucky, but you don't see me whining about it! Also, I like the Leprechaun movies, so you can piss off. If he thinks the movie sucks, then the movie sucks. GET OVER IT, AND MOVE ON. Regardless of this comment being over 7 months old, I needed to say something to a childish retard like you. Of course us people can be happy. I hated this movie. The ending pissed me off, and it was stupid all around. Seed of Chucky wasn't that damn bad. That is YOUR opinion. At least Seed of Chucky made more goddamn sense than this piece is sh!t. Why can't YOU be happy? You are mad about someone having a hate towards this movie. You're pathetic and that shows immaturity, and you're nothing but a dickriding fanboy of this atrocious movie.

Regardless on what any 'true' horror fans like or not, it can be agreed that the paranormal craptivity films are for people who do not normally watch horror movies and don't want to be too scared. This film, even if it's not perfect, might as well be in comparison to those things.

After watching The Babadook, The Cabin in the Woods, You are Next. The dumbing down of characters in horror movies becomes a lot more obvious and it is very annoying, it nailed everything else tho, loved the shots used, loved the 1st ACT a lot, the third one was meeeh.

It was an alright movie but I know tons of "true horror fans" who didn't like it. I'd definitely say that the first Paranormal Activity is better than it.

I know this post is old, but someone please help me. Is there a definitive list of what "true" horror films should like and dislike? And did OP make this list? He seems like a pretty credible guy. Very wise in assuming there is such a definitive, black and white true horror fandom.

Seriously though, the concept of fandom is retarded. Can't a person just like and not like certain things? Or is their liking for a whole genre of movies null and void if they like or dislike something? I hate you, OP, and your kind. Not a fan(ha ha ha) of your antics.
