"At an asylum for the criminally insane where she has been confined for the past four years and is erroneously convinced that she, not Chucky, murdered her entire family. But when Nica's psychiatrist introduces a new therapeutic "tool" to facilitate his patients' group sessions — an all-too-familiar "Good Guy" doll with an innocently smiling face — a string of grisly deaths begins to plague the asylum, and Nica starts to wonder if maybe she isn't crazy after all. Andy Barclay (Vincent), Chucky's now-grown-up nemesis from the original Child's Play, races to Nica's aid. But to save her he'll have to get past Tiffany (Tilly), Chucky's long-ago bride, who will do anything, no matter how deadly or depraved, to help her beloved devil doll."

That sounds really exciting!

I wonder how Chucky escaped Andy's apartment that Andy have to go chasing after him.

Maybe Tiffany fetched his remains and resurrected him.

They start shooting next week and the Bluray will be released this Fall. We should probably be seeing promotional material sometime in the summer.

Oh my gosh oh my gosh!!!!!! So excited. Finally real news and it's this year. Just saw the teaser. Sounds llike a fan made idea. Thats awesome. I wanted it to take place in the asylum too. Well it might not be entirely there but still good enough.

Since he's supposed to be some kinda therapy tool I'm guessing the mental hospital would not use a messed up looking doll with scars. Just hope he's actually repaired this time. Not just make-up.

Cult seems interesting to me. I guess it's referring to all his victims but usually means a group of people with crazy beliefs. So it's the people who are deemed crazy for claiming Chucky is alive? Is that what it's going for? I wouldn't call that a cult exactly.

yea mighty exciting news. i am really hoping Shout Factory will release a special edition of Child's Play 2 and 3 to coincide with the release of this new film. that'd be one amazing Halloween.

I too hope that he ends up in a new GoodGuy doll. Similar to the look of the original Child's Play.

I would like to think that 'cult' means all the survivors of Chucky who maybe kept in touch over the years in fear that he will come after them.So to the public they make no mention that a killer doll attacked them. while in secret they all stay in the know of wether or not Chucky is still on the loose. Maybe Andy is the leader? He maybe finds out about who Nica is and he goes off to find her and have her join the group of survivors. their little 'cult' that stay on the lookout for Chucky & Tiffany.

How would she even know where he is though and I'm sure Andy would have wanted to destroy him beyond repair so it'll be rather iffy if he just left Chucky mostly in tact. Chucky had to have escaped somehow.
