Chucky And Tiffany Were In This...
But no Glen. Guess they thought Seed was bad enough, they are leaving the kid out of the series now. Of course, his absence would have to be explained.

shareI don't need an explanation. If I never have to hear about Glen/Glenda again I'd be happy. As a huge Chucky fan it pains me to say that I hated Seed of Chucky.
shareI hated Seed Of Chucky as well, but Glen/Glenda was the child and if their kid suddenly disappeared from the series it wouldn't make sense. Like when Bride Of Chucky came out in 98 and everyone was left wondering what happened to Andy Barcley.
shareYeah not mentioning Andy annoyed me but in a way I understand that they ditched the Andy angle because Chucky constantly chasing Andy would have been to repetitive especially since Bride was supposed to have taken place only 6 months after the 3rd one.
I get what you mean about Glenn and you're right but if they don't ever mention him again, that would be fine with me lol.
At least Andy was brought up in a newspaper article during the opening of Bride. We got one reference of him and that beats the fact that there was NO reference made to the twins at all in Curse. But in regards to Bride, it was weird for Chucky not to mention Andy by dialogue for a bit, almost as if he drifted from his mind. Don was truly trying to loosen the connection between that film and the Andy trilogy so new fans didn't have to see the first three films to understand Bride and thus they wouldn't have to think about Andy. The article was a throw in to establish continuity as Bride wasn't a complete reboot.
shareWhen Chucky is talking about families, he mentions the Tillys, so he might have been taking about Tiffany and his kids.
I think Tiffany would try her best to keep them safe from their father, especially after it seems that she got the better of him when he tried to attack them in the end of Seed.

Wasn't there some controversy about Tiffany's cameo in this one? I only watched Curse Of Chucky for the first time this weekend, but when she turned up at the end I had a bit of a flashback. Didn't a lot of people dislike her being there at the time?
I guess I can see it. I have nothing against Tiffany's character. But it did seem that Bride Of Chucky / Seed Of Chucky were distancing themselves somewhat from the three original Childsplay movies. The series became more comedic, and they barely mentioned Andy. Curse seemed to go back to being slightly more serious, maybe a bit darker than Bride/Seed. Though Andy wasn't there, part of the plot focussed on one of the characters discovering who he was, and they tried to tie the characters into the original Childsplay origin story. Also Tiffany's story arc seemed complete in the earlier. She'd become human again. So, how much is the character needed now?
Saying all that, it didn't massively bother me. I think it was meant as a cameo/fun nod to the previous movies. It's not like it really overshadowed the plot. And you've got to credit Jennifer Tilly. Some actors if they achieve a certain level of fame start acting embarrassed if they've been in slasher or cheesy old horror movies. As somebody who likes movies like that, I always think it's cool when actors don't get all bent out of place about early roles like that.
