The bodies in Parker's house

It's not impossible that no one ever found them. They were in a hidden room. What's impossible is that he died in 1986, 25 years before the events of this movie yet the bodies still smelled. A human body in those conditions would go to completely bone dry in about 2-5 years.

Are you not entertained?!

unless he preserved them or some creepy *beep* like that. The room could've been airtight so who knows the smell may have been sealed.

reply

Those corpses (that hands) didn't really appear that old. So he must have preserved them somehow.

reply

I think he did something to preserve them but that still doesn't really explain the smell

Like another poster said, the room was airtight. That keep things pretty "preserved" - tinned food can last a pretty long time!

"Airtight" would be the cabin of a space shuttle not a secret room in a run down old house built with basic building materials. It would be safer to assume he preserved them similarly to how a mortician would, but the fact they didn't explain any of this is bad story telling. I personally think this was just a plothole and figured the audience would be too dumb to realize the corpses would have rotted.
