it wasn't that bad lol

Even tho you must to admit they tried very hard to make this movie a masterpiece by all this plots and flashing back , but all they got is a good movie :$

I agree. I liked the first one a lot better but this one was good.

It was effective but not nearly as absorbing as it could've been.

The original Poltergeist is still the best movie of this kind as far as I'm concerned. Long live Tobe Hooper.

It's definitely a step down compared to the original, but I still enjoyed it. If nothing else, James Wan is really good at building suspense.

I actually prefer part 2 for rewatch value over the first movie. The color scheme and lighting reminds me of a Bava flick. Parker Crane and his mom are creepier as villains for me than lipstick demon too.

It wasn't quite as good as the first one but then again sequels rarely are. I still think it's a very good movie and I give it an 8/10.

This movie felt too contrived and I didn't bother viewing until the end. I watched until the seance scene and it was laughable with the tossing of the letter pieces. There ARE low budget movies that are good, but this movie was based on too much trickery and an uninteresting screenplay. It's a rip off. It's disappointing to see the makers of Saw make money this way. Insidious was good and worth the price of admission. I'm leery of sequels that do not get good reviews, so I just wait until it's on DVD. This one's not worth the price of rental. Beware of sequels from the makers of Saw.
