It's a great continuation on from the first, and flows nicely. It still maintained that creepy atmosphere, and I loved the way they were still able to use Elise. I really don't get the hate, it's a VERY solid sequel.

Yes, I agree! I'm even thinking it is a little better than the first! I haven't seen Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015) so I'm looking forward to the story due to the fact that it's a prequel. Hopefully I will not be disappointed.
shareIt's not uncommon for a sequel to be as good or better than the original. Happens all the time but you get the numpty brigade who think it's in good taste to proclaim the original entry as the best.
